Tamara Hentschel war in den 1980er Jahren Wohnheimbetreuerin für vietnamesische Vertragsarbeiter*innen des VEB Herrenoberbekleidung Fortschritt. Zudem ist sie Mitbegründerin und Vorständin des Reistrommel e.V. Sie kämpfte seit den 90iger Jahren gegen staatliche Willkür und für das Bleiberecht ehemaliger Vertrags-arbeiter*innen. Der Verein Reistrommel übernimmt heute Aufgaben zur Integration von Zugewanderten nicht nur aus Vietnam.
Tamara Hentschel worked as a dormitory supervisor for Vietnamese contract workers of VEB Herrenoberbekleidung Fortschritt in the 80’s. She is also a co-founder and board member of Reistrommel e.V. In the 1990s, she fought against state arbitrariness and for the residence permits of former contract workers. Today, the Reistrommel association takes on tasks for the integration of immigrants.

Le Manh Hung absolvierte ein Studium in Journalistik. Danach begann er seine Tätigkeit als Moderator beim nationalen Radio Vietnam und Radio Moskau. Seit 1996 war er Sprecher bei Radio Multikulti. Er Mitbegründer des Lotus-Ensembles und unterrichtet vietnamesische Musikinstrumente an verschiedenen Musikschulen in Berlin.
Le Manh Hung studied journalism. He then began his career as a presenter at National Radio Vietnam and Radio Moscow. Since 1996 he has been a speaker at Radio Multikulti. He co-founded the Lotus Ensemble and teaches Vietnamese musical instruments at various music schools in Berlin.

Anetta Kahane nahm für das Neue Forum an der Arbeitsgruppe Ausländerfragen des Runden Tisches teil. Von Mai bis Oktober 1990 wurde sie die erste und zugleich letzte Ausländerbeauftragte des Ost-Berliner Magistrats. Zudem ist sie Mitbegründerin und Vorstandsmitglied der Amadeu Antonio Stiftung, einer der erste Vertragsarbeiter, die nach dem Mauerfall durch einen rassistischen Übergriff ermordet wurden.
Anetta Kahane participated in the New Forum in the Foreigners Working Group of the Round Table. During May and October 1990, she served as the first and last Commissioner for Foreigners of the East Berlin Magistrate. She is also a co-founder and board member of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, who was one of the first contract workers to be murdered by a racist assault after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Mai Thi Thanh Nga arbeitet am Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung multireligiöser und multiethnischer Gesellschaften in Göttingen und ist beteiligt an dem Projekt Nord-Süd / Ost-West der vietnamesischen Diaspora. In ihrer Doktorarbeit konzentriert sie sich auf die Spaltung und Versöhnung, der vom Krieg betroffenen vietnamesischen Gemeinschaft in Berlin. Sie studierte Soziologie, Gesundheitssoziologie und Migration in Vietnam und Thailand und promovierte zu cross-border romance.
Mai Thi Thanh Nga works at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Multireligious and Multiethnic Societies in Göttingen and is involved in the project North-South / East-West of the Vietnamese Diaspora. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the division and re-conciliation of the war-affected Vietnamese community in Berlin. She studied sociology, health sociology, migration in Vietnam and Thailand and received her doctorate in cross-border romance.

Huong Vu Thi Nguyet wurde 1964 in Hanoi geboren, wo sie als Kleinkind den Krieg in Vietnam und amerikanische Bombenangriffe miterlebte. 1982 wurde sie ausgewählt und zum Studium in die DDR entsandt. Die Wende 89/90 erlebte sie an der TU Freiberg und erhielt als Studentin und Wissenschaftlerin Bleiberecht. Seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre arbeitet sie als Migrationsbearaterin für vietnamesische Bürger*innen und andere erwachsene Zuwander*innen bei abw gGmbH DIALOG in Oberschöneweide.
Huong Vu Thi Nguyet was born in 1964 in Hanoi, where she experienced the war in Vietnam and American bombings as a toddler. In 1982 she was selected and sent to study in the GDR. She experienced the fall of the Berlin Wall 89/90 at the TU Freiberg and received the permit to reside as a student and scientist. Since the early 1990s she has been working as a migration advisor for Vietnamese citizens and other adult immigrants at abw gGmbH DIALOG in Oberschöneweide.

Thuy Nonnemann wurde in Vietnam geboren und flüchtete in den 1960 Jahren nach Deutschland. Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Bankangestellte unterstützt sie seit Mitte der 1970er Jahre ehrenamtlich Flüchtlinge bei ihren Migrationsbemühungen. Nach ihrem Ruhestand 2003 widmet sie sich ihrem Ehrenamt unter anderen im Migrationsrat Berlin-Brandenburg (MRBB). Seit 2005 war Thuy Nonnemann Mitglied der Berliner Härtefallkommission und bietet seither Beratungen an für Menschen, die unter anderem von Abschiebungen bedroht sind. Zudem war sie Mitglied im Anstaltsbeirat Moabit und externe Mitarbeiterin in der Justizvollzugsanstalt Tegel.
Thuy Nonnemann was born in Vietnam and fled to Germany in the 1960s. In addition to her work as a bank employee, she has been supporting refugees in their migration efforts on a voluntary basis since the mid-1970s. After her retirement in 2003, she dedicated herself to her voluntary work, among others, in the Migration Council Berlin-Brandenburg (MRBB). Since 2005, Thuy Nonnemann has been a member of the Berlin Hardship Commission and has since offered services to people threatened with deportation, among other things. She was also a member of the Moabit Prison Advisory Board and an external staff member at Tegel Prison.

Prof. Dr. Birgitt Röttger-Rössler studierte Ethnologie, Anthropologie, Romanistik sowie Malaiologie und Volkskunde den Universitäten Göttingen, Zürich, Köln und Bonn. Sie wurde 1988 an der Universität Köln promoviert und habilitierte 2001 an der Uni-versität Göttingen. Derzeit lehrt sie Sozial und Kulturanthropologie an der Freien Universität Berlin. Sie ist Sprecherin des Sonderforschungsbereiches „Affective Societies: Dynamiken des Zusammenlebens in bewegten Welten“ sowie Leiterin der Arbeitsstelle „Anthropologie des Emotionen“ am Fachbereich für Politik und Sozial-wissenschaften der FU Berlin. Gegenwärtig arbeitet sie zu Prozessen der Gefühls-bildung im vietnamesischen Berlin.
Prof. Dr. Birgitt Röttger-Rössler Studied Ethnology, Anthropology, Romance Languages and Literature as well as Malay Studies at the Universities of Göttingen, Zurich, Cologne and Bonn. She received her doctorate from the University of Cologne in 1988 and her habilitation from the University of Göttingen in 2001. She currently teaches social and cultural anthropology at the Free University of Berlin. She is speaker of the Collaborative Research Center „Affective Societies: Dynamics of Coexistence in Moving Worlds“ and head of the Research Unit „Anthropology of Emotions“ at the Department of Politics and Social Sciences of the FU Berlin. She is currently working on processes of emotional formation in Vietnamese Berlin.

Richard Schaeffer studierte Regionalwissenschaften an der Humboldt-Universität Berlin. Er ist professioneller Musiker unter anderem in Bands wie „Wired Ways“ und studiert bei Le Manh Hung verschiedene vietnamesische Musikinstrumente. Gemeinsam nahmen sie den Song „Hanoi tramway“ auf.
Richard Schaeffer studied Area Studies at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin. He is a professional musician in bands such as „Wired Ways“ and studies various Vietnamese musical instruments with Le Manh Hung. Together they recorded the song „Hanoi tramway“.

Dr. Gabriel Scheidecker studierte historische Anthropologie und Philosophie an der Universität Freiburg und promovierte 2015 in Fachbereich Ethnologie der FU Berlin und ist seitdem dort wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter. Zudem ist er Postdoc im Forschungsprojekt „Gefühlsbildungen im vietnamesischen Berlin“
Dr. Gabriel Scheidecker studied historical anthropology and philosophy at the University of Freiburg and received his doctorate in 2015 in the Department of Ethnology at the FU Berlin. Since then he has been a research assistant at the FU Berlin. He is also a postdoctoral fellow in the research project „Emotional Formations in Vietnamese Berlin“.

Dr. med. Thi Minh Tam Ta ist Fachärztin für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie. Derzeit arbeitet sie als Leiterin der Spezialambulanz für vietnamesische Migrant*innenam Campus Benjamin Franklin und dem Königin Elisabeth Krankenhaus Berlin. Sie ist Dozentin für transkulturelle Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie.
Dr. med. Thi Minh Tam Ta is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy. She currently leads and works at the special outpatient clinic for Vietnamese migrants at the Benjamin Franklin campus and the Queen Elisabeth Hospital Berlin. She gives lectures on transcultural psychiatry and psychotherapy.

Quynh Nguyen Thi wurde in Vietnam geboren. Als sie fünf Jahre alt war, ging ihre Mutter als Vertragsarbeiterin in die DDR. Quynh wuchs bei ihren Großeltern auf und wurde von ihrer Mutter 1991 nach Berlin geholt. Sie studierte in Berlin und London und arbeitet heute für den Verein Reistrommel e.V.
Quynh Nguyen Thi was born in Vietnam. When she was five, her mother went to the GDR as a contract worker. Quynh grew up with her grandparents and came to Berlin on her mother’s endeavours in 1991. She studied in Berlin and London and now works for the Reistrommel e.V. association.

Nguyen The Tuyen kam 1973 als Student in die DDR und unterrichtete ab 1978 für zehn Jahre an der Technischen Universität in Hanoi. Als Sprachmittler für Vertragsarbeiter*innen kam er 1988 ins sächsische Glauchau. Heute lebt er mit seiner Familie in Berlin und gibt unter anderem Nachhilfe im Fach Mathematik.
Nguyen The Tuyen came to the GDR as a student in 1973 and taught at the Technical University in Hanoi for ten years from 1978 on. He came to Glauchau in Saxony in 1988 as a language mediator for contract workers. Today he lives with his family in Berlin and tutors in mathematics.

Dr. Sascha Wölck studierte Südostasienstudien, bildende Kunst und Intercultural Communication. Als kuratischer Mitarbeiter bereitete er im Jahr 2010 das vom Berliner Hebbel Theater veranstaltete „DONG XUAN“ Festival vor. 2015 promovierte er an der Europa-Universität Viadrina über die Geschichte des modernen Rassismus in Vietnam. Über die Arbeit Danh Vos hat er 2011 die Monografie „Untitled et al.“ vorgelegt.
Dr. Sascha Wölck studied Southeast Asian Studies, Fine Arts and Intercultural Communication. In 2010, as a curatorial assistant, he prepared the „DONG XUAN“ Festival organized by the Hebbel Theater in Berlin. In 2015 he received his doctorate at the European University Viadrina on the history of modern racism in Vietnam. In 2011 he published the monograph „Untiteld et al.“ on Danh Vos‘ work.
